Insurance & Loss Recovery

Insurance & Loss Recovery

In our Insurance and Loss recovery practice at MVRH, our goal is to ensure that each policyholder recovers the maximum insurance benefits to which it is entitled. Our services include policy form review during placement, loss coverage analysis (including primary and excess as applicable) and claim presentation, pre-suit negotiations and litigation, as well as representing our clients in mediation and arbitration. MVRH has also handled many cases for our clients at the appellate level.

Our attorneys have been involved in some of the most complex, catastrophic property damage claims in the country, including 9/11 claims; the fire at Philadelphia’s One Meridian Plaza; the Heaven Hill Distillery fire in Bardstown, Kentucky; and claims from all major hurricanes from Andrew though Harvey, involving destruction of, and damage to, all types of buildings and structures. In utilizing our philosophy of Specialized, Strategic Success, we have recovered monies owed our policyholder clients in all types and sizes of first party property losses, including, without limitation, repair/replacement costs and business income loss. MVRH attorneys have also secured recoveries for their clients under general liability, commercial crime and employee dishonesty, cyber, D&O, and stop loss insurance policies.

Another reason for our success in representing policyholders is our attorneys’ previous experience representing insurers. Thus, we are knowledgeable and well-versed in the claims-handling process from the perspective of both the insured and the insurer, which provides a unique strategic advantage in the representation of our policyholder clients. Moreover, the attorneys in MVRH’s Construction Law Practice provide assistance through their extensive experience evaluating construction damage, repair/replacement costs and building code requirements. It is this specialized experience and teamwork approach that provides the platform from which MVRH develops strategies for our clients to succeed.
